- The 21st Flag of Afghanistan Polyester Flag is a historic piece of world history.
- Flown from 1992-2002, this flag represented the new Islamic government under Rabbani featured a flag change. The color scheme is similar to several Middle Eastern Muslim nations' flags. Elements from the times of the monarchy returned to the emblem, but with the addition of the Shahada and drawn completely differently swords representing the mujahideen's victory.
